Pretty Paper

Does anyone else have a difficult time scrapping when you start off with an already beautiful sheet of paper?  This paper is from the Creative Memories Reminisce Heritage Addition pack (that was a mouthful).  I just found myself embellishing with the same images and colors that were on the "wallpaper sheet."  I like to think of the paper I use behind my pictures as wallpaper, covering the entire page.  Everything I add on top are like the things you might hang on a wall... framed pictures, signs, art, etc.

Musical Notions

To coordinate with pictures from a symphony Christmas concert, I wanted to make a page that was both Christmas and musc related.  I made music notes using a straight trimmer and a circle punch.   I used the cricut to cut out the treble cleff, but I think it would have been just as cute if I did not use the treble cleff.  Then I would have been able to fit more notes on it:).

Playbills from the theater.

Scrap your playbills!  I usually keep one playbill in a keepsake box.  My husband wears his out reading it through and through before the play starts.  Since his playbill is usually a little rough around the edges, I cut it up and scrap it.  If I only had one play bill, and had to choose between keeping it whole in a keepsake box or scrapping it, I definitely would scrap it.  The finished pages say a lot more than a closed playbill hidden away in a box. I also like to include a picture of the stage from the viewpoint of our seats.

Cute Cricut Suitcase

This suitcase was made using the Cricut Creative Memories Traveler cartridge.  I made it to be a replica of my own suitcase.  And yes, my suitcase is pink with brown, lime green, and tangerine polka dots. Really!! The polka dots were used by using the Creative Memories Bubble Maker, and glued on individually.   I also used a white pen to write the names of places my suitcase has been on the luggage tags.  Too cute!! Highly recommended to personalize generic luggage cut outs.  Make it in the colors that closest resemble your own personal luggage.

My Love for You Could Fill a Thousand Hearts

This is a cute idea for a Valentine's Day card.  Punch tons of hearts in different shapes, sizes, and patterns. Fill a memorobilia pocket with the hearts and adhere to the front of the card.  Create a quote referring to your love and hearts. This should make for a memorable Valentine's Day!

8x8 Album Paper

I have two 8x8 albums that I maintain.  One is exclusively Halloween.  This year, I had trouble finding 8x8 halloween paper, so I bought a 12x12 pad of Halloween paper and cut 8x8 squares out of each sheet.  The remaining paper made three 4x6 mattes and a small section that can be used for punches.  Presto!!  When you can't find exactly what you need, make it!

Stepping Stones or Milestones

One item on my wish list is a square punch.  I do not have one currently, but I plan to purchase one.  A cute idea for the square punch is to punch out a square from grey paper, and then round each corner using a corner rounder.  Take sandpaper or a distressing tool and rough up all edges.  Instant stepping stones!!!  These can be used for spring and garden pages or the stepping stones can be used on milestone pages such as baby's first step, or graduation from high school or college.  Just about any accomplishment or important turning point in life.
